Message from Founder and Chairman John Paul Cavanaugh

DefenseWeb Honored by the San Diego Business Journal

I'm excited that DefenseWeb was recently named one of the 25 largest defense contractors in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal - our first appearance on the prestigious listing. In eight years, we have grown from a single, small office with a handful of programmers to a company with over 70 employees and offices across the country. Although I am proud of our growth because it shows we are serving a need, I am even prouder of our people. From the transition to the new leadership of CEO Doug Burke and COO Rick Pope to the addition of the latest engineer or project manager, we continually strive to fulfill DefenseWeb's mission and vision - to serve those that serve our country with solutions that are beyond expectations.

Success of Army's Virtual Family Readiness Group (vFRG) Beats Expectations

Army Channel Adds Needed Staff

The success of the Army-wide launch in March of the DefenseWeb-developed vFRG Web portal, which brings family readiness communications to an online setting, has led to the need for quick expansion of the company's Army Channel. To service the over 1,000 Army units - Active, Guard, and Reserve - that have already signed up to use vFRG, DefenseWeb hired three Product Support representatives - Charlotte Brown, Lori Stinson and Mark Smith - to work primarily on assisting Brigade and Battalion points of contact across the globe with tailoring and launching vFRG Websites. The Army Channel also hired an experienced software engineer, Michael Robinson, to work on new projects with DefenseWeb's strategic partner Ceridian.
